To add an alert, go to the Managed Alert tab and click on the ‘New Alert’. Add the Name of Alert, Category, Status, Type, Attribute, User Type, Email, Subject, Body, Contact Number and Message to the User.
Category
The category has three options: warning, info and error. Choose the right category to generate the right kind of alerts to the system.
Alert Type
There are five types of alerts including Project, Work Order, Vendor, Transaction and Client. The alert generated must reveal the type it is being generated for.
Attribute
After the type of alert is chosen, the attributes will come as per the type of alert chosen. For instance: In project type, the attribute of the alert has to be selected from Status, Project Manager, Project Type, Final date variance and due date variance. For the other given types of alerts, the attributes will be filled depending on the type of alert chosen.
Once the alert is chosen, two new fields emerge: Behaviour and Custom Value.
The behaviour has three main options: Change, Greater than or Less than. It shows options depending on the attribute being chosen. For instance: If type is ‘Work Order’ and attribute is ‘Final Invoice Amount’, the behaviour shows three options as mentioned above.
If ‘Change’ is selected, the ‘Custom Value’ field will disappear as a new value will be assigned. If ‘Greater than’ or ‘Less than’ is selected, a ‘Custom Value’ will be added.
Notify User
To notify the users about the alert being generated, the type of users has to be selected from Admin, Accounting, FPM and Operational.
Enter the Email Address, Subject and Body of the email to be sent to the selected users along with the recepient number. Click on ‘Save’ to generate a new alert.
